The research achievements of COVID-19 participated and completed by Zhou Changlong of our hospital
Recently, Zhou Changlong of our hospital participated in the research on the death risk of COVID-19), which was published in the latest international top journal Science. Science, together with the British journal Nature, is known as one of the two top journals in the world, representing the highest level of human natural science research.
Previously, Science published a research paper titled "May be the death risk of COVID-19 is underestimated?" online through eLetters. The study was led by Professor Diao Ying from Chongqing University of Arts and Sciences and participated by Professor Zhou Changlong from our university. The research results have proposed improvement suggestions for the CFR calculation formula, further clarifying the mortality rate of COVID-19 nationwide and in Wuhan, and providing the latest mortality rate estimates based on existing medical conditions and current data.
Introduction to Zhou Changlong: Male, 41 years old, chief physician, medical doctor, graduate supervisor, chief medical officer of Yongchuan Hospital affiliated with Chongqing Medical University, currently serving as the vice chairman of the cerebral hemorrhage special committee of Chongqing Stroke Society, a member of the supernatural special committee of Chongqing Hospital Association, a youth member of the neurosurgery special committee of Chongqing Medical Association, and a member of the Chongqing Neuromicrovascular special committee. Led 7 scientific research projects as the project leader, including 1 provincial and ministerial level project, 4 departmental and bureau level projects, and 2 institute level scientific research projects. Published over ten SCI and CSCD papers as the first or corresponding author.
